ABOUT ME *
Welcome!
My name is Holly Tanner Strauss
A true Sagittarius at heart, always guided by a sense of wonder and a deep curiosity about the world around me. I’ve lived in many places, constantly moving, exploring, and seeking to understand the way things work. My life has been shaped by a love for movies, travel, nature, and the ever-changing textures of life.
Growing up, my mother could make it snow—at least that’s how it felt. She had a magic of her own and encouraged me to explore every art supply imaginable. No matter where we moved, art remained my constant. I’ve always been drawn to, time worn places, tall ceilings, spaces that breathe, where my creativity can roam free like a dog sniffing out every corner, every tree, in search of something new.
I create because I love to capture that sense of wonder, to feel the textures of life. My art is about finding the extraordinary in the everyday, discovering the magic hidden in plain sight.
Each day, I strive to learn, experiment, and share my creations with others, always believing that art is not just something you make, but something you live.
Feel free to explore this site and reach out if you’d like to collaborate or simply chat about the joys of creating!
Thank you for stopping by my corner of the world and I hope my creations bring a little spark of magic to yours.
With warmth,
Holly Tanner Strauss
This was my backyard when I was just a kid. This beautiful photo was captured by the talented Nick Selway. I asked Nick if I could use this picture because it was what I looked out at when I was 8 years old growing up in Kailua Beach Hawaii.

During my time as a model in Japan I made a lifelong friend, who to this day, is as close as we were back then.
Then I found this guy who continued to drag me around, just like my dad, from one job to the next. We got married on the Tower Bridge in good old London.
Along with my husband and fellow artist, my journey has been enriched by my faithful companion, Toji —a Siamese cat. I’ve always had a Siamese cat by my side, my familiar in this artistic adventure, offering me comfort, wisdom, and a touch of mystery.
Samantha was the first by my side.
